Barcelona to Host First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months following their departure so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
